David Mandeville Wants Old Cameras

The Centre for Continuing and Distance Education (the old Extension Division) runs art programs for youngsters.  David Mandeville is teaching B & W photo classes for 11 – 14 year olds but it is getting difficult to find 35 mm film cameras for the kids to use.  He wants any old (but working) film cameras that you would be willing to donate to our program.  They don’t need anything special, point-and-shoots would be just fine.

Please email David

Help Portrait is Seeking Volunteers

Help Portrait is a movement of photographers who are using their time, equipment and expertise to give back to those who are less fortunate.

Krystian Olszanski organized a Help-Portrait event in Saskatoon last year and it was a big success. This year, his plan is to reach more people who could benefit from a free portrait session.

If you’re a photographer, stylist or volunteer living in the Saskatoon area, we would like you to join us in this effort to give back to the community. Help us bring joy to others through photography. We are looking for sponsors as well.

Join Krystian & 25k photogs as we give back on Dec 10: Give, don’t take pictures.

A bit more info about the event:

Event will take place at the White Buffalo Youth Lodge on Dec 10th.
