Fall Field Trip: The La Colle Dam Project

For this years Fall Field Trip we will be travelling to the ruined La Colle Falls Dam on the North Saskatchewan River east of Prince Albert.

We will be meeting at the parking lot of the Lawson Heights Mall at the corner of Warman Road and Primrose at 9:00 am and travelling up together, with a quick stop at the parking lot of the Tourism office in Prince Albert to wait for stragglers and to grab a coffee.

Once at the dam, we will park at the top of track leading down into it, walk in (about 1/2 mile).

There are NO AMENITIES there. Cell phones will not work at the dam site. Bring your own food and drinks, toilet paper and anything else you think you might need in addition to your camera equipment (of course). Dress appropriately, with good shoes and outerwear. For the more adventurous, there may be a degree of clambering about and it behooves us to be careful at all times. Please note that we are all adults here and responsible for our own safety. The Saskatoon Camera Club is not liable for any misfortune which may befall anyone during this excursion.
